How we work

Editorial Policy

Plainly put: how we choose what goes on Sorted Aisle, and what we will and won't do.

How we choose products

We research products using retailer listings, product specifications and other publicly available information. We only include things that fit the edit: useful, well-considered pieces we'd be happy to recommend to a friend.

We don't claim to have tested a product hands-on unless a guide clearly says so. If a page doesn't say we tested something, assume we didn't.

No fake reviews

We never publish star ratings, review counts, testimonials or made-up quotes. What you read on Sorted Aisle is our own description of why something made the edit.

Prices

We don't list prices. Prices, availability and shipping are set by the retailer and change often, so always check the current details at the store before you buy.

Affiliate links and independence

Many of our product links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you. You can read the details in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Commissions never decide what we include. We don't accept paid placements at this time, and no brand or retailer reviews our pages before they go live.

How AI assists

We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. A person reviews and edits every page before it goes live, and is responsible for what we publish.

Corrections and updates

If you spot something that's wrong or out of date, email us at [email protected] and we'll look into it. Our guides show a last-updated date so you can see when a page was last reviewed.
